Brief Content
Ralph De La Rosa is an integrative psychotherapist, life coach, meditation teacher, writer and musician whose work has already appeared in various media.
In this book the author succeeds to give an illuminating overview of mindfulness and meditation. He allows the reader to integrate different frameworks, from Buddhism to neuroscience, evidence based trauma theory and psychotherapy. And all of this with its unique, flowing style of writing!
Throughout the book he suggests asking yourself a question: “If you were to stop challenging your monkey mind, what would it teach you?” The core message is versatile, but it comes down to disconnection and the way in which we have become disconnected from our bodies. Reading this book will help people transform personally; on a larger scale, it can help our society evolve and change positively.
A great added value to this publication are the 15 guided meditations which you have access to on the publisher’s website.
Book Rating
I have a lot in common with the author and that makes it easy to really like this book. We share a common language and flow! 🙂
For newbies it may require an open mind because of the spiritual touch in it. However, the scientifically based content from the field of neuroscience and psychotherapy provides a solid foundation.
Because of its entertaining, easy to read style and strong content, this is highly recommended for anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the world of meditation and mindfulness, and at the same time wants to work on their own well-being.
This book is definitely worth 5 stars:
